We’re passionate about quality. It all started with the desire for sourcing our own honey and helping the environment. Our first garden was grown as a space for beauty and peace as well as source of food, not just for ourselves but for our wildlife friends. Everything is grown without harmful chemicals, and without disrupting the soil, so it’s safe and beneficial for us all to enjoy together.

We’re honing our awareness and sensitivity to nature. Keeping bees has brought us a new awareness of the delicate balance of our ecosystems. We’ve seen the profound effect just one hive can have on crops and flowers; we’ve also seen the devastation of one careless mosquito spraying on a previously thriving hive. Everything we do is for the betterment of bees, and not just honeybees, but all pollinators.

It's only a couple days until spring is officially here and the bees are already working hard and expanding rapidly. With the early maple blooms they are already bringing in lots of nectar and the spring pollen is flowing as well ensuring lots of baby bees will be raised healthy and strong off of a good diet. We have not made our normal announcement this year but we have been taking nuc orders as usual and they have been flying in. If you are looking to get into beekeeping or need to replace or expand your apiary we'd be happy to help you do that. We take pride in our nucs and want the highest chance of success for our customers. Yesterday our Christmas tree went out to the woods for the deer to munch, but I couldn’t let all the little good bits and felled needles go to waste. I clipped some of the heartier branches for winter decor that will continue to make our home smell woodsy, and I collected a few handfuls of the fallen needles to infuse in vinegar for a pleasant-smelling, natural cleaner. Oil can also be gently warmed and infused with needles then used to scent candles and lotions, and if you’ve sourced your tree from a chemical free farm, you could use needles to infuse alcohol, sugar, and honey for flavoring dressings, teas, bakes, and cocktails.
