We’re passionate about quality. It all started with the desire for sourcing our own honey and helping the environment. Our first garden was grown as a space for beauty and peace as well as source of food, not just for ourselves but for our wildlife friends. Everything is grown without harmful chemicals, and without disrupting the soil, so it’s safe and beneficial for us all to enjoy together.

We’re honing our awareness and sensitivity to nature. Keeping bees has brought us a new awareness of the delicate balance of our ecosystems. We’ve seen the profound effect just one hive can have on crops and flowers; we’ve also seen the devastation of one careless mosquito spraying on a previously thriving hive. Everything we do is for the betterment of bees, and not just honeybees, but all pollinators.

U-pick flower field coming up! 🌻🌸🐝 We’re excited to expand the pocket patch to include a tiny flower retreat for picking your own clutch of blooms. It will be a little while til she’s ready for visitors, but stay tuned for opening day.

These are the days that try a beekeeper's mental fortitude. From early December the bees have been put to the test. While we dodged some storms here in New Jersey the temperatures have not been very forgiving this winter season. With temps barely getting warm enough to do our mid winter checks, we mostly had to trust our winter prep to help our colonies make it through the winter. And while we have had some losses we are happy that they have been kept to a minimum. We aren't out of the woods yet but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Milder temps are on the horizon. The bees will be brooding up before we know it and we will once again be racing to keep up with them. We will enjoy the calm for now and hope our bees are resilient through the final push toward spring.
